Boarding

All pets require basic care, attention, love, and protection every single day of the year. When you have to be away from home for several days because you’re traveling, or you’re having renovations done to your home, you want someone you can trust to look after your four-legged family members. Center Veterinary Hospital offers residents of High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Archdale, North Carolina a safe haven for pets that is supervised by our veterinarians.

Your cat or dog will feel right at home in our comfortable climate controlled facilities. We maintain separate boarding areas for dogs and cats, ensuring that all animals will have a pleasant, stress-free stay. Dogs have their own stand alone run, equipped with a water bowl and bed. We have outdoor kennels that are larger than the indoor runs, and they are also covered/shaded. These are for elimination and fresh air, and our boarding dogs are able to stretch out their legs. Our kennels can accommodate most pets from a 5-pound Chihuahua to a 100+ pound Newfoundland.

Cats have a separate room with a door to keep the noise out and give our kitties a quiet stay. They also have their own cages with beds, water, and fresh litter boxes.

We provide all pets with Hills Science Diet Adult Maintenance Kibble, however, clients can bring in food from home if desired. Our staff monitors the appetite and urination/bowel movements of each boarded pet, and our veterinarians will be alerted if any problems are noted. Patients who are boarding and require medications will receive their meds as prescribed.

We don’t recommend bringing toys or bedding from home as this is a safety issue. They may not tear up beds or eat toys at home, but they are out of their environment and often behave differently.

All boarders must have a current annual physical exam with one of our doctors and must be up to date on vaccines (DHPP, CIV, RV, Bordetella). All boarders are given a Capstar to prevent a flea infestation.

Our boarding drop off and pick up times are as follows: Monday through Friday: 7:30 am - 8:00 am, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 am and/or 4:30pm.
