Center Veterinary Hospital has a full functioning laboratory in-house. We are able to test for a variety of pathogens including heartworm disease, tickborne disease (Lyme, Erlichia canis, Anaplasma), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), and intestinal parasites (Hookworm, Tapeworm, Whipworm, etc). We can also run a urinalysis to check for urinary tract issues, and full blood panels to check complete blood count and liver/kidney values.
Certain samples may be sent to an outside laboratory if we do not have the test in-house, if the sample needs to be reviewed by a pathologist (i.e. biopsy samples), or if samples are being collected for regular wellness checks and results aren’t needed immediately.
